We are expanding our Web team and hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support new and exciting products. We're looking for people who share our aptitude for work, to help us build smart and well-designed applications for our clients.

What You Will Do
This is a hands-on technical role, day to day activities include:
- Provisioning production and pre-production deployment environments for various projects, supporting a range of different tech stacks.
- Developing solutions to improve system performance with a focus on high availability, scalability and resilience.
- Configuring CI/CD pipelines so applications can be iterated on frequently and deployed with confidence.
- Monitoring application performance and resource usage to identify bottlenecks and faults.
- Advising on technology adoption and selection as it pertains to web solutions. This is not a project management role, though mentoring is encouraged.
- Working with cross-functional teams to help shape and define key features.
- Writing custom software to manage platform infrastructure where necessary.
What We Can Expect from You
- Business-level English language ability.
- A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of recent commercial programming with a strong emphasis on delivering web solutions.
- A tendency to look for ways to improve existing systems and processes.
- Proficiency with AWS or a similar cloud service provider.
- Experience with Docker, Amazon ECS, EKS and ECR.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, Route 53, and others.
- Proficiency with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes.
- A strong understanding of web application architecture and distributed systems.
- The ability to find simple, pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
- Experience explaining complex, technical limitations to team members with a non-technical background.
- Bonus points:
- Proficiency with CircleCI and/or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc).
- Linux command line / Bash scripting proficiency.
- Japanese language proficiency.
- Experience working with HR-related applications.
- Interest in working on application code where necessary.
